CAR-FI by David Lewis Designers for Bang&Olufsen

Bang & Olufsen have teamed up with Audi, Aston Martin, AMG and BMW with an ambition to deliver a top-of-the-range sound and design experience to their discerning customers.

The task was to create a distinctive visual presence for Bang & Olufsen in each of a number of Audi and Aston’s car models, beginning with existing models and progressing to new models in early stages of development.

As the car interiors were still in the design phase, designers at David Lewis would build quick doors and instrument panels in cardboard, based on preliminary sketches and CAD data from the car designers. Concepts were hand sketched and then rapidly modelled using David Lewis’ signature modelling techniques, tweaked and developed over the decades.

Balance Audio Interface by Propellerhead

Balance is a 2-in/2-out audio interface for recording and playback, specifically developed to satisfy the specific needs of the target group. The audio interface features an overall clear arrangement that is reduced to a few control elements and large rotary dials. Oriented toward daily use in a studio and allowing musicians to capture spontaneous ideas, the control elements of the Balance arranged on the top side instead of the common short side. In addition, since all gear inputs are colour-coded, musicians can leave all instruments connected and simply select the channel for recording.

Modern Record Console by Symbol Audio

The flagship of the Symbol audio line, the Modern Record Console pays homage to “all in one” console hifi’s of the 1950’s, an idea who’s time, we believe, has come around again.

Open the lid and feast your eyes on a hand built tube amplifier and turntable set into patinated steel plates that merge analog sound with a modern wireless system. Tucked out of view into the steel base is a second dedicated amplifier and subwoofer designed to extend the low end frequency and provide added richness to the sound.
